Things to know about Gloria:
To start off, I’m a happily married gal and just celebrated my 17th wedding anniversary with my one and only, Andy. Although, we have been together 25 years – since we were 18. We have two wonderful kids, yet trying at times: Armando (14) and Marcelina (8). We also have a terrific, loveable Black Lab (2) and still in the puppy stage.
My main interests are all over the place.
Reading: Autobiography, History, Romance, Science-Fiction, Mystery. One of my greatest loves is Shakespeare. I really enjoy reading his works. I try to get my kids interested in him, but yeah – that’s not happening anytime soon.
Music: Love it all, but not too keen on Jazz and Blues. From Classical to Rap, Easy Listening to Heavy Metal, 50′s to Today. 80′s music is a definite favorite!!
Movies: Classics are my favorites and Cary Grant movies. I especially like comedies, because I love laughing. I like thrillers, but hubby doesn’t let me watch them too much anymore. . .something about him not being able to sleep with the lights on, I think. History-inspired movies are good, but I take them with a grain of salt – Hollywood tends to put their own spin on them.
Crafts: Just about anything and everything. Sewing – I feel good about myself when I’ve created clothing for my family or making gifts for family and friends. Ceramics – this is my real passion. I have my own kiln and over 1,000 molds to create some amazing pieces. It’s very relaxing to sit and paint a piece and then the satisfaction when it’s finished. There’s so many other craft venues I dabble in: Plastic Canvas work, Needlepoint, Crochet, Wood creations, Ornaments, Floral Arrangements, etc.
Candy Wraps: I started wrapping candies back in 2003, for my son’s First Communion, and I haven’t stopped. I bought a candy wrapping program back in 2004, then I came across another program, WrapCandy, which I’m still with today. It’s a great program, great forum, great members and great help, if you’re interested, just give me a hollar and I’ll introduce you to it. Anyway, with the candy wrapping, I make arrangements with them, and alot of other products to match. The customers love what I create, and that’s why I do it. People love receiving personalized keepsakes to cherish for many years to come and that’s why my motto is: Creating Lasting Impressions
Designing: The other passion that goes along with candy wrapping is designing the candy wraps! I design the wraps for candy wrap professionals to purchase. Every occasion, every holiday and everyday designs. Cute to Elegant. You can check them out at That’s A Wrap! Designs
Sports: Mainly football – NFL. My favorite team is the Minnesota Vikings, but I’m not just a Vikings fan, I’m a FOOTBALL fan. I watch as many of the games as I possibly can, I make my picks and yell when the refs make the wrong calls (again). I like watching an occasional TWINS baseball game and sometimes Tennis (not as a spectator, though). High School Hockey Tournament is a definite plus with me!!
